Eldorado Classes & Lectures
Eldorado Classes & Lectures

Thank you for your interest in the 2019 Earth Day celebration, organized in conjunction with Eldorado 285 Recycles.  The event is scheduled for Monday, April 22nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the E.C.I.A. Community Center, 1 Hacienda Loop 87508.

This is a large event, with several different venues:

• Lectures being held in the Railroad Building at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m.

• Indoor displays in the main building accommodating up to 14 organizations

• Patio and Vestibule display areas for an additional 10 organizations

• Parking lot sectioned off for large displays such as solar and vehicles in front of the pool area

Based on turnout for other large events, we anticipate a crowd in excess of 1,000 residents of the Greater Eldorado/US 285 corridor. We market the event via several large e-mail distribution lists, print fliers distributed on area bulletin boards, at business, and handed out.  As well as, roadside signage, marquees, and a local low power radio station.

To register, please complete the form to the right no later than April 8th.  Space is limited so we recommend you register early.  Acceptance is official upon receipt of a confirmation e-mail from EC&L.

Setup starts at 8 a.m. on the 22nd (as early as sunrise for displays not inside the buildings) and must be concluded by 10 a.m.  The entire facility will also be available between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th.  Please note, the facility buildings do have security systems, but we cannot be held responsible for displays setup early.  No materials can be attached to the walls or ceiling of the facility. There is no copying service at the facility, but Quick Send is available at the Agora Shopping Center one mile away.

The historical longterm forecast is for temperatures in the mid 60ºF and partly cloudy on the day of the event.
